Privacy Policy

We work for greater personal safety in all areas and our Privacy Policy is a part of that. Capitalized terms not otherwise defined herein shall have the meanings ascribed to them in Terms of Services. This privacy policy (“Privacy Policy”) is a part of the Action For Society Terms & Conditions. By approving the Terms you also approve this Privacy Policy and consent to Action For Society Sweden AB (Action For Society) handling of personal information.

This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect and why, how we use that information and what choices we offer you as a user related to that information.

In case of a serious crime or risk of personal danger, Action For Society collaborates with the Police and Authorities. With reports of suspected illegal activity, the Privacy Data Protection is overruled and Action for Society is responsible for forwarding suspected crimes to the Police.

Information we collect

There are two ways we collect this information:

Information that you provide, e.g. personal data connected with your BankID. This can also be information that you fill in during registration or other information that you provide in your settings or publicly in the services.

Information that is generated when you use our services. When you use our services information is collected and stored, and is later used to improve our services and to provide tailored experiences. We collect the following type of information:

  • We collect device-specific information, such as operating system or phone model.

  • When using our services information is created, collected and stored in server logs, such as data regarding how you use our service, IP-addresses, crashes and other system events, cookies and other techniques used to identify you as a user.

  • We use your location information to be able to provide the best service possible. We collect location information with techniques such as GPS, IP-address, WiFi access points and cell towers.

  • We collect the version of applications and operating systems in order to better understand our users and to improve our service.

The main information which we store regarding Bank ID is the following:

  • First Name

  • Last Name

  • Country

  • Personal number

How we collect it, and where do we share/use it?:

  • This data is provided by the Bank ID service. 

  • This data is not shared with any third-party services. 

  • On the app side, this data is not being sent to third parties like Google, etc.

MANUAL INFORMATION COLLECTION:

Our system manually stores the following data.

  • Email - It is not mandatory for the user, but if added by free will, email verification is required to verify the email.

  • Phone - It is not mandatory for the user, but if added by free will, a verification text is sent to verify the phone number.

How we collect it, and where do we share/use it?:

  • This data is part of our system, Names can be shared with organisations to attach the user to an organisation. 

  • An organisation can see the information related to a user for example phone, email, name, etc.

How we use information we collect

The information is used to improve, maintain, and to be able to deliver the services, and to develop new services. The information is also used to tailor the user experience. Parts of the use of our Services may be shared between you and other users, for example a history of posts created.

When contacting the Action For Society App, through email or other communication, we might contact you regarding existing or new services afterwards.

Information gathered through cookies and similar techniques in order to identify the user is used to improve our services and to provide the user with a tailored experience. Your first name and surname can be shared with other users in ways that may identify you. You can also opt to be anonymous.   

Content published by you can be analyzed or monitored automatically or manually in order to prevent misuse of the service, spam, or in order to improve our services, et cetera.

We can combine personal information and data from different service sources to better understand the full service experience.

Your personal information is collected and stored on servers in Sweden.

Accessing and updating your personal information

You can stop using our Services at any time, although we’ll be sorry to see you go. If you want to opt out of Action For Society, simply send an email to app@actionforsociety.com and we’ll help erase your user profile, including all collected personal data and potential user history.

Information we share

We do not share your personal information to third parties, except in the following situations:

  • With your consent

  • To your connected organisation

  • For legal reasons

  • If any serious crime is suspected or a person might be in danger

  • We can provide information to domain administrators for debugging when we are facing an issue with a user. 

  • We can provide the personal number of the user to the domain Admin to debug the problem.

We may share aggregated data. It will never be possible to identify any single user within this kind of data. A use case could be to show trends in our services.

Compliance and cooperation with regulatory authorities

We cooperate with appropriate regulatory authorities, including The Swedish Authority for Privacy Protection, to deal with complaints regarding personal information.

Changes

Our Privacy Policy may change in the future. Any Privacy Policy changes will be communicated through the app. If the changes are significant, we will provide a more prominent notice.
